Privacy Policy
Our approach
Moonify is built to be privacy-first. We collect as little as possible, and most of your data stays on your device.
What we store
Your birth details (date, time, place), your questions and saved readings, your reminder preferences, and an optional cached device location for moonrise. These are kept in your device or browser storage.
How we use it
To calculate your chart and moon phases, generate readings, and show timings. Your birth place and time are used only for your astrological chart.
Location
If you allow it, your device’s current location is used to calculate your local moonrise and is stored only on your device. You can decline, and the app still works.
AI processing
If AI readings are enabled, the text of your question and the relevant moon data are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate a response. Your birth details and saved items are not sent. Please do not include sensitive personal information in your questions.
Third parties
We use service providers only to run core features, such as AI generation and city look-ups. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use third-party advertising or tracking.
Your rights
You can export all of your data or delete it permanently at any time from Settings. Deleting removes it from your device.
Children
Moonify is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be noted in the app and on this page.

Terms of Service
1. About these terms
These Terms govern your use of the Moonify app (“Moonify”, “we”, “us”). By creating a profile or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Moonify.
2. What Moonify is
Moonify offers reflective guidance based on real astronomical moon phases and astrology. It is provided for personal reflection, entertainment and inspiration only.
3. Not professional advice
Moonify does not provide medical, psychological, legal, financial or other professional advice, and nothing in the app should be relied on as such. Always consult a qualified professional for important decisions, and contact local emergency services in a crisis.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country, to use Moonify.
5. AI-generated content
Some readings are generated by an AI model and may be inaccurate, incomplete or inconsistent. They are prompts for reflection, not statements of fact or predictions of the future.
6. Your profile and content
You are responsible for the information you enter, such as your birth details. Much of your data is stored on your own device, and you can export or delete it at any time from Settings.
7. Subscriptions and billing
Optional paid features (“Moonify Plus”) are billed through your app store using its in-app purchase system. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and you can manage or cancel them in your app store account. Payments are handled by the app store, not by us.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the app, attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer it, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
9. Intellectual property
Moonify, including its design, text and software, is owned by CaseBuddy Pty Ltd and protected by law. You receive a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app.
10. Disclaimers
Moonify is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any outcome will follow from using it.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on the app.
12. Changes
We may update the app and these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Termination
You may stop using Moonify at any time and delete your data in Settings. We may suspend access if these Terms are breached.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
